Pithrukunnam Mahavishnu Temple:
This is a centuries-old Mahavishnu temple situated near Udayanapuram in Vaikom. Local people believe that the name “Pithrukunnam” originated from beliefs, customs, and rituals associated with the remembrance of ancestors. People visit this temple every year.
Thrippakkudam Sree Mahadeva Temple:
This temple is situated on the Vaikom–Vechoor route in Kottayam district. It is one of the rare temples where two Shiva Lingams are consecrated on a single pedestal. Another unique feature of this temple is that elephants are not permitted to enter the temple premises.
St. Mary's Church, Vechoor:
Vechoor Church is one of the oldest Marian pilgrimage centres in southern Kerala. It is situated about 10 km south of Vaikom, on the banks of Vembanad Lake, near the Thanneermukkom–Vechoor Bund. Devotees affectionately refer to the Blessed Mother as “Vechoor Muthy” (Mother of Vechoor).
The church is believed to have been established in AD 1463 (Kollavarsham 639). The construction of the present church began in 1864, when Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara laid the foundation stone.
